Office of Student Financial Services

The Office of Student Financial Services administers tuition, fees, and student accounts at New Meridian University. It is the point of contact for questions about charges, payments, and refunds.

For assistance, email info@newmeridianuniversity.org or call 801.306.0660.

Tuition

Tuition is charged by the course and must be paid in full before registration. Students pay for the courses they register for; advance payment for an entire degree is not required. All amounts are stated in U.S. dollars (USD).

Tuition for a three-credit doctoral course ranges from $500 to $1,500, depending on the student's country of residence. Select a country or territory below to view the applicable rate.

Students whose country is not listed, or whose residence changes, should contact the office to confirm their tuition rate before registration.

First-course tuition reduction

A 50% tuition reduction is available for the first course to admitted students enrolling in an NMU academic program for the first time who meet the eligibility and good-standing requirements in the University Catalog. The reduction applies only to tuition. Required fees remain payable.

The reduction cannot be transferred, applied retroactively, or combined with another tuition reduction. Subsequent courses are charged at the applicable standard rate.

60-credit doctoral tuition examples

These examples cover 20 three-credit courses. Select your country above to find the applicable course rate. The reduced tuition column applies the 50% first-course reduction for eligible new students. All figures are in USD and exclude fees.

Per course20-course tuitionFirst-course reductionTuition after reduction

Program costs and transfer credit

Total tuition depends on the applicable course rate and the number of courses required at NMU. An estimate is calculated by multiplying the course rate by the number of required courses, subtracting any approved tuition reduction, and adding applicable fees. Repeated courses or additional required enrollment can increase the total.

Approved transfer credit may reduce the number of courses required. NMU does not charge tuition for requirements fully satisfied by approved transfer credit. Transfer-credit review and recording carry no NMU fee. External credential evaluations, transcripts, and report-delivery charges are paid to the relevant provider.

Fees

The following fees are separate from course tuition.

FeeAmount
Application$20
Registration$50
Graduation$200
Late payment, when applicable$50
University charges for books, supplies, equipment, and laboratory use$0

The application fee is assessed through the application process, the registration fee at registration, and the graduation fee during graduation processing. Payment instructions identify the applicable charges and deadlines. Questions about fee frequency or a charge on an account should be directed to the office.

The Catalog lists a conditional $50 late-payment fee. This fee does not extend a payment deadline or establish an installment arrangement. The office can explain whether it applies to a particular account.

Charges for separately requested services, such as an official transcript, are confirmed before processing.

Other expenses

Students are responsible for personal computer equipment, internet service, and third-party expenses. These may include transcript requests, credential evaluations, document translation, and bank or currency-conversion charges. Such expenses are separate from University tuition and fees.

Billing and payment deadlines

Full course tuition is due before registration and before coursework begins. Enrollment and learning-system access are enabled after successful payment and confirmation that the required charges have been paid.

Application. The application charge is paid according to the instructions and deadline issued through the application process.

First course. Course tuition and required registration charges must be paid before registration is completed. Any approved first-course reduction is reflected in the amount due.

Subsequent courses. Each course must be paid in full before registration. Tuition for future courses is not due solely because those courses remain in the degree plan.

Graduation and other services. The applicable fee is due by the date stated in the University's payment request.

NMU does not require an enrollment deposit and does not offer partial course payments or installment plans. Payment deadlines are tied to course registration and the dates stated in official payment instructions.

Pending, declined, reversed, disputed, or partial payments do not satisfy the payment requirement. Students experiencing a payment problem should contact the office before the registration deadline.

Payment methods and procedures

Electronic payments will be processed through Stripe. Payment instructions and the checkout link will be issued through the University's application or registration process. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.

  1. Review the course, tuition amount, applicable reduction, fees, and due date in the payment request. Direct any billing discrepancy to the office before paying.
  2. Open the University-issued checkout link and complete payment using an available method.
  3. Retain the receipt or transaction reference. If a transaction remains pending or no confirmation is received, contact the office before submitting another payment.
  4. Course registration and access are completed after the University confirms successful payment of the required balance.

International payments

Tuition and fees are stated in USD. The checkout displays the payment currency and amount. A student's bank or payment provider may apply an exchange rate or transaction charge.

Students unable to use the payment methods offered at checkout should contact the office before the registration deadline for instructions.

Account inquiries

For an incorrect charge, duplicate payment, failed transaction, or payment that has not been credited, provide the student's name, application or student identifier, course, payment date, amount, and transaction reference. Full card numbers and banking credentials should not be sent by email.

Students unable to pay for a planned course should contact the office before registration. Changes to a course sequence, a leave of absence, and a return to study remain subject to the University's academic and enrollment requirements.

Financial aid and other funding

Federal Title IV and Utah state student aid are not available through NMU. The University does not offer institutional loans, deferred tuition, income-share agreements, or a University-arranged third-party lending program.

The amount due remains payable unless the University confirms that a scholarship, employer reimbursement, or other contribution will be credited to the account. The first-course tuition reduction is subject to the eligibility conditions described above.

Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds

Cancellation and withdrawal require written notice. Nonattendance, failure to log in, or an unpaid balance does not constitute withdrawal. The timing of notice and the student's course activity determine refund eligibility under the applicable Catalog and enrollment agreement.

Three-business-day cooling-off period

The refund policy provides a full refund of tuition and mandatory fees for rescission within the applicable cooling-off period. The period ends at midnight on the third business day after the latest applicable event: signing the enrollment agreement, making the initial payment, or first receiving access to the instructional system when the program exceeds 30 days.

Written notice may be sent to info@newmeridianuniversity.org or to New Meridian University, 7533 S Center View Ct Ste N, West Jordan, UT 84084. Notice is effective when received by the University. Students should retain a copy and evidence of delivery.

Withdrawal after the cooling-off period

After the cooling-off period, the Catalog permits retention of up to $200 when withdrawal occurs before submission of a graded lesson or receipt of substantive instructional materials, whichever occurs first, unless higher actual preparatory expenses are documented.

After the cooling-off period, course tuition becomes nonrefundable once the student has submitted a lesson, participated in graded activity, or otherwise engaged academically as described in the policy. The office reviews the withdrawal date, payment record, and relevant course activity when determining the refund amount.

Nonattendance, unused course access, and pauses in study do not automatically qualify for a refund.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed within 30 calendar days after receipt of written notice under the published policy. Payment is returned to the original payer through the original payment method unless payment-processor restrictions require another arrangement. Refund amounts reflect payments actually made and the applicable refund provisions.

The complete withdrawal and refund provisions are contained in the University Catalog and enrollment agreement. Questions about their application to a student account should be directed to the office.
