The Office of Student Admissions and Records maintains official student records and handles questions about NMU transcripts, enrollment verification, recorded grades, approved transfer credit, and degree information.
Contact the office to confirm the applicable request process. Include your full name, student identifier if assigned, program, document needed, intended recipient, and any deadline. Ask about authorization, delivery arrangements, and any applicable charges before proceeding.
If a record appears incorrect, identify the entry and explain the discrepancy. Admissions and Records coordinates review of administrative record issues and records approved corrections. An academic determination, such as a grade appeal or transfer-credit decision, follows the applicable academic review process.
Academic Affairs retains authority over academic decisions. Admissions and Records maintains the resulting official record and can explain which supporting documentation is needed.
For a name change or another personal-information update, ask which evidence and submission method are required. Requests for another person’s records should identify the requester’s relationship to the student so the office can explain the applicable authorization process.
Transcripts submitted for admission are issued by the previous institution. Request those records through that institution or its authorized service. For documents needed to complete an NMU admissions file, review Admissions Documentation or contact this office.
