Graduation and Diplomas

Office of Student Admissions and Records

Preparing for graduation

The Office of Student Admissions and Records coordinates graduation processing, checks the student record for required documentation, records approved degree conferral, and handles diploma inquiries.

As you approach completion, review remaining requirements with your academic advisor and ask Admissions and Records about the applicable graduation process. Provide your full name, student identifier if assigned, program, anticipated completion date, and any pending academic decision or record discrepancy.

Academic approval and the official record

Academic Affairs determines whether academic degree requirements have been satisfied, including required coursework and dissertation requirements where applicable. Admissions and Records documents the approved outcome.

Raise missing grades, unrecorded approvals, or inconsistent program information before requesting graduation confirmation. An anticipated completion date or submission of a final assignment does not establish that a degree has been conferred. The recorded conferral follows the University’s completion review and approval.

Diploma details and documentation

Confirm the name and other relevant details in your student record before diploma information is finalized. Ask the office about available delivery arrangements and the information required for your request.

For a diploma correction, replacement inquiry, or confirmation of an awarded degree, describe what you need and confirm the applicable requirements before sending documents or payment. Direct questions about graduation charges or account balances to the Office of Student Financial Services. Requests for an official transcript are handled through Transcripts and Student Records.
